Job summary

Pine Ridge Care Center is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide patient care under PT supervision in a residential care setting. The role focuses on neuromuscular and musculoskeletal treatment within established plans of care and adheres to privacy and regulatory guidelines.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree, CA PTA license, and at least one year of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Requires California PTA license.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• Must have strong patient care and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinincal treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinincal treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
