Job summary

Creekside Healthcare Center in California is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with a salary ranging from $85,280 to $104,000 and PRN/on-call duties. A sign-on bonus is available and employees receive PTO and referral bonuses.

The PTA will administer treatments for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues, perform tests of strength, ROM, and respiratory efficiency, and contribute to discharge planning with PT/OT as needed. A California PTA license and an associate degree are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in PTA program.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinincal treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinincal treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
