Job summary

Inglewood Healthcare Center is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our compassionate team in serving residents with dedicated care. The PTA will administer treatments for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions, perform strength and ROM assessments, and support discharge planning with PT/OT as needed.

The role requires an Associate degree in PTA and an active California PTA license, with 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current California PTA license required.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal problems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, ROM, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment according to an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments to ensure safe discharge with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents per company policy and regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinincal treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.
