Job summary

Autumn Hills Healthcare Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our caring team in California. The PTA will administer treatments, perform assessments, and support discharge planning within the scope of practice and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Clinical experience preferred (1 year).

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Performs tests and measurements for strength, ROM, and respiration.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established plan of care.
• Maintains patient record confidentiality and documentation.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinincal treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.
