Job summary

Palm Springs Healthcare Center in Palm Springs, CA, is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated care team. The role involves delivering PTA services under the plan of care, assessing neuromuscular and musculoskeletal needs, and supporting resident discharge planning.

We offer competitive pay in the $85,280–$104,000 range, a sign-on bonus, PTO, and referral bonuses. A CA PTA license and an associate degree are required or preferred; PRN/on call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Current California PTA license.
• Associate degree in PTA program.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal problems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, ROM, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments to support safe discharge with PT/OT involvement.
• Completes required forms and documents per company policy and regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinincal treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.
