Job summary

Driftwood Healthcare Center-Santa Cruz is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated team. The position offers a competitive salary range of $85,280 to $104,000 per year, with PRN/on-call duties and a sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include administering treatments for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues, performing tests of strength and ROM, and maintaining patient records in accordance with policy and state regulations. California licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a PTA program.
• Current California PTA license.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Measures muscle strength, range of motion, coordination, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records and adheres to regulations.
• May assist with home assessments and discharge planning with PT/OT as needed.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinincal treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.
