Job summary

Peninsula Post Acute in Burlingame, CA is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. You will provide skilled PTA treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and help residents regain mobility and independence.

We offer a flexible scheduling model with competitive starting pay of $55.00 per hour and opportunities for additional shifts.

Qualifications

• Active California PTA license in good standing.
• Strong communication, organizational and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled PTA treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents in improving mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence.
• Complete accurate and timely daily documentation, progress notes, and other required clinical records.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety techniques, and discharge recommendations.
• Participate in care conferences and communicate resident progress with the healthcare team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
• Assist in training restorative nursing staff as appropriate to support resident outcomes.
