Driftwood Healthcare Center-Santa Cruz is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). We provide a professional, supportive environment for residents and staff, treating everyone like family.

Salary ranges from $81,120 to $93,600 with full- or part-time schedules and a sign-on bonus. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO, referral bonuses, and relocation reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in PTA program required or preferred.
• Current California license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Performs tests and measurements for muscle strength, ROM, coordination, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate in home assessments to aid discharge planning with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents per policy and regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.
