Job summary

Medical Services of America’s Medi Home Health Agency in Smithfield, NC is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant to provide in-home therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will deliver one-on-one care across Smithfield, Clayton, Four Oaks and Selma, document plans of care, and collaborate with PTs and case managers to support patient mobility and independence.

A valid NC PTA license, current driver’s license, and a minimum of 1 year of PT experience are

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active North Carolina PTA license required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Minimum of 1 year of verifiable physical therapy experience.
• Previous home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy services as outlined in the plan of care developed by the supervising PT.
• Carry out treatment protocols to support mobility, strength, balance, and functional recovery.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate updates to PT or Case Manager.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with agency policy and regulatory requirements.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and mobility techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Home Health team and provide in-home therapy services across Smithfield, Clayton, Four Oaks, and Selma (Johnston), NC and the surrounding areas.
