Golden Hill Post Acute in San Diego, CA is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-house rehab program. The PTA will screen, evaluate, and deliver skilled rehabilitation for geriatric patients, with emphasis on wound care and functional recovery, within a team-focused, in-house program.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions per regulatory standards.
• Perform standing/walking, patient handling, and use of therapeutic modalities as part of rehab.
• Administer procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, exercises, modalities, and wound care.
• Provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate discharge summaries compliant with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Our expanding network of in-house therapy Ensign-affiliate operated healthcare facilities is growing, and we are scouting for excellent therapists to join us at Golden Hill Post Acute in San Diego, CA. We offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant for our in-house rehab program!

Full Time: Flexible schedule with work-life balance

Pay:$35 - $45 /hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.
