The WakeMed Health & Hospitals Physical Therapy Department seeks a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to support patient care in the acute care setting. You will implement non-evaluative treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, provide age-appropriate direct care, and may supervise students as part of WakeMed's rehab continuum.

Formación

• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant required.
• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• 1 year clinical experience in physical therapy preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Physical Therapist in providing acute care patient care under supervision.
• Implement non-evaluative treatment programs established by the physical therapist.
• Provide age-specific direct patient care.
• May supervise students and cover other areas in the WakeMed Rehab continuum.

Overview

The Physical Therapy Assistant assists the Physical Therapist in the provision of physical therapy patient care in the acute care setting by implementing non-evaluative treatment programs established by the physical therapist for the patients. Provides age-specific direct patient care according to the department's scope of service and may supervise student. This position may be required to cover other areas in the WakeMed Rehab continuum.
