Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals in Raleigh, NC seeks a Physical Therapist to evaluate patients, establish and implement treatment plans with functional goals, and educate patients on use of assistive devices. The role spans Acute Therapy Services (Raleigh/Cary) and Rehab Hospital in a Therapy Services Supplemental Pool.

The position requires licensure as a Physical Therapist, a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, and preferably a Master's degree with 2 years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Master's Degree in Physical Therapy is preferred.

Job description

Overview The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services by evaluating patients, establishing and implementing effective treatment plans with functional treatment goals, providing patient education and therapeutic intervention/activity programs and educating in use of assistive devices. Position is responsible for observing, evaluating and documenting the results of treatment interventions and modifying age-appropriate treatment plan accordingly. The Option 5 Physical Therapist will work in all both of the following settings of care: Acute Therapy Services (Raleigh/Cary) and Rehab Hospital. Populations served include stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, other neurological issues, as well as post-surgical orthopedics, cardiac, multi-trauma and debility for both adult and pediatric populations. This position is in the Therapy Services Supplemental Pool and has minimum shift availability requirements per calendar year.
