Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to provide therapy services and address functional goals under a supervising physical therapist. You will educate patients on mobility, safety and assistive devices, and document treatment results with appropriate plan adjustments.

Responsibilities span acute, rehab and outpatient settings. Minimum licensure and an associate degree are required; two years of clinical PT experience is preferred. EOE.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant credential required.
• Two years clinical experience in physical therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement evidence-based and effective physical therapy interventions.
• Educate patients on mobility, safety and use of equipment or assistive devices.
• Observe, evaluate and document treatment outcomes; discuss plan adjustments with supervising therapist.
• Work across care settings including Acute Therapy Services, Rehab Hospital and Outpatient Rehab.
