Job summary

Monterey Palms Healthcare Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated team in California. The PTA will administer treatments, perform assessments, and implement care plans for residents under supervision. A CA PTA license and at least some clinical experience are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.
• Current California PTA license required.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
