Job summary

The Garrison Care Center in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Part Time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-house therapy team in a post-acute care setting. As a PTA you will screen and evaluate patients, develop care plans, deliver rehabilitative treatments, assist with wound care, and provide counseling to patients and families while generating discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards.

The Garrison Care Center in Lubbock, TX, is currently seeking a Part Time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-house therapy team. We are a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric outpatient services provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.


• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.


• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.


• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.


• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.


• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Physical Therapist Assistant license is required.


• Open to PTAs at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!
