Job summary

The Garrison Care Center in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Part Time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-house therapy team in a post-acute care setting. As a PTA you will screen and evaluate patients, develop care plans, deliver rehabilitative treatments, assist with wound care, and provide counseling to patients and families while generating discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards.

• PTA license required.
• New grads welcome; open to PTAs at all experience levels.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care; develop care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatments.
• Stand/walk regularly; assist with lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment.
• Administer procedures as part of rehab: manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, devices, wound care.
• Provide counseling to patients, families, caregivers and other providers.
• Generate discharge summaries ensuring regulatory/compliance.
