Job summary

Los Arcos del Norte Care Center in El Paso, TX, is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-house rehab program. You will work with a dedicated team to provide skilled therapy for our geriatric residents and support their journey to recovery.

The PTA will screen and evaluate patients, administer rehabilitation interventions, assist with transfers and wound care, and prepare discharge summaries while complying with regulatory and clinical standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders; develop care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitation interventions to patients per clinical standards.
• Stand and walk regularly; assist with transfers and lifting as needed.
• Administer procedures as part of the rehab plan, including exercises and wound care.
• Provide consultation to patients, families, and care teams regarding physical disorders.
• Prepare discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Our expanding network of in-house therapy Ensign-affiliate operated healthcare facilities is growing, and we are scouting for excellent therapists to join us at Los Arcos del Norte Care Center inEl Paso, TX. We offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a Full Time Physical Therapist Assistant for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Physical Therapist Assistant license is required.
• Open to PTAs at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!
