Job summary

TransPerfect Health is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in Senior Living and Skilled Nursing settings. You will evaluate and treat residents, document using Net Health, and work with a supervising PT to design programs tailored to each resident’s needs.

The ideal candidate holds a current PTA license in their state and will participate in meetings, care planning, and compliance activities, with competitive pay and a full benefits

Qualifications

• Current or eligible Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of practice.
• Willingness to collaborate with supervising PT and care teams.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents with disorders or deficits within Physical Therapy scope of practice per physician order and evaluation.
• Optimize residents' functionality and skills.
• Complete documentation via Net Health.
• Collaborate with supervising PT to develop programs addressing resident needs and follow co-signature requirements.
• Attend care planning, staff and family meetings as required.
• Assist in meeting OBRA Resident Rights and certification standards.
• Follow infection control policies and complete other assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the treatment of residents with noted disorders or deficits within Physical Therapy scope of practice upon receiving physician order and completion of evaluation


• Optimize the functionality and skills of patients


• Completes all necessary documentation via Net Health


• Collaborate with supervising PT developing programs appropriate to the needs of facility residents while fulfilling PTA/PT co-signature and supervision requirements


• Attend all required meetings including care planning, staff meetings, family meetings, etc.


• Assist the facility in meeting the standards necessary to obtain state and federal certification while following OBRA Resident Right Guidelines


• Follow facility infection control policies and procedures


• Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for the role and assigned by the manager/supervisor

Qualifications

• Current or eligible Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of practice
