Job summary

The Springs of Avalon in West Memphis, AR is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. PRN, Part-Time, and Full-Time positions are available.

Under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will provide hands-on care, implement treatment plans, document progress, and support residents and families. Arkansas license required; SNF or long-term care experience preferred. New graduates welcome.

Qualifications

• Active Arkansas Physical Therapy Assistant license in good standing.
• Experience in SNF or long-term care settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to educate residents and families.
• Familiarity with Net Health documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to improve mobility, strength, and function.
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions under PT supervision.
• Assist in implementing and modifying treatment plans based on resident progress.
• Observe and document resident performance, safety, and response to therapy.
• Educate and support residents, families, and caregivers.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with standards.
• Communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team during care planning.

Position Summary

As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide hands-on patient care, carry out treatment plans, and help residents improve mobility and independence. Your clinical skills and compassionate approach will play a vital role in each resident’s progress and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to improve mobility, strength, and function

• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions under PT supervision

• Assist in implementing and modifying treatment plans based on resident progress

• Observe and document resident performance, safety, and response to therapy

• Educate and support residents, families, and caregivers

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards

• Communicate updates and observations to the supervising Physical Therapist

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and participate in care planning

Qualifications

• Active Arkansas Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license

• In good standing with all licensing and regulatory agencies

• SNF or long-term care experience preferred

• Experience with Net Health documentation is a plus

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
