Job summary

The Springs of Harrison in Harrison, AR seeks a Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehab team serving residents with person-centered care and compassion.

You will administer prescribed PT treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, document progress, and support patients and families while maintaining compliance with state and federal requirements. New grads are welcome; Arkansas licensure is required, with flexible schedules and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Arkansas license as Physical Therapy Assistant.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF/LTC experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of treatment practices.
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with different personalities.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled PT services under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information to the PT.
• Implement and modify the treatment plan with PT supervision.
• Measure and record motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient response and modify interventions with IDT collaboration.
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Ensure documentation complies with regulatory requirements.
• Attend required meetings designated by the Director of Rehab.

Physical Therapy Assistant Responsibilities:

• Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing.
• Provides skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to Physical Therapist
• Implements and modifies the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment with PT supervision.
• Measures & records patient's motor function, strength, and muscle performance
• Monitor patient response to treatment intervention and modify treatment approach and directive as clinically appropriate with IDT collaboration.
• Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely and complies with all company and state/federal regulatory requirements.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

Physical Therapy Assistant Skills:

• SNF/Long term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of treatment practices
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.

Physical Therapy Assistant Requirements:

• Active/Valid Arkansas license as Physical Therapy Assistant
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
