Job summary

The Springs of Greers Ferry in Heber Springs, AR is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehab team serving residents with person-centered care.

The PTA will administer prescribed treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, document care, and collaborate with the rehabilitation staff to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Arkansas PTA license in good standing.
• Experience in SNF/long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of treatment practices.
• Ability to manage patients with different personalities.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and restore function.
• Provide PT services under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Relay information and referrals to Physical Therapist on service requests.
• Implement and adjust treatment plans with PT supervision.
• Measure and record motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust care with IDT collaboration.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers.
• Ensure timely, compliant documentation per regulations.
• Attend required Rehab Director meetings.

Physical Therapy Assistant Responsibilities

• Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing.
• Provides skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to Physical Therapist
• Implements and modifies the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment with PT supervision.
• Measures & records patient's motor function, strength, and muscle performance
• Monitors patient response to treatment intervention and modify treatment approach and directive as clinically appropriate with IDT collaboration.
• Provides clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Ensures documentation is completed thoroughly and timely and complies with all company and state/federal regulatory requirements.
• Attends required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

Physical Therapy Assistant Skills

• SNF/Long‑term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of treatment practices
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.

Physical Therapy Assistant Requirements

• Active/Valid Arkansas license as Physical Therapy Assistant
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
