Job summary

The Springs of Avalon in West Memphis, AR is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. You will provide hands-on care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and help residents improve mobility and independence.

We offer PRN, part-time, and full-time positions, with flexible scheduling and a collaborative, supportive culture that welcomes new graduates and experienced clinicians alike.

Qualifications

• Active Arkansas PTA license.
• In good standing with licensing authorities.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience with Net Health documentation is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to improve mobility, strength, and function
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions under PT supervision
• Assist in implementing and modifying treatment plans based on resident progress
• Observe and document resident performance, safety, and response to therapy
• Educate and support residents, families, and caregivers
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Communicate updates and observations to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and participate in care planning

Position Summary

As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide hands‑on patient care, carry out treatment plans, and help residents improve mobility and independence. Your clinical skills and compassionate approach will play a vital role in each resident’s progress and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to improve mobility, strength, and function
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions under PT supervision
