Job summary

Autumn Hills Healthcare Center is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide skilled therapy within an established care plan. The role focuses on neuromuscular and musculoskeletal treatment, with patient assessments and documentation.

The position offers a sign-on bonus, benefits, and the opportunity for full-time or part-time engagement in Glendale, CA. Prior clinical experience is preferred, but new graduates are welcomed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Physical Therapist Assistant program required.
• Current California PTA license required.
• 1 year clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers tests and measurements for strength, range of motion, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established plan of care and maintains records.
• May participate in home assessments to ensure safe discharge with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents per policy and state/federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.
