Job summary

Vale Healthcare Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated team in California. The PTA will provide patient-centered care under the supervision of a physical therapist within scope of practice and federal guidelines.

The role offers a salary range of $81,120 - $93,600 with full or part-time options and a sign-on bonus. Eligible applicants hold an associate degree and California PTA licensure.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required in Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Current California PTA license required.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal problems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, ROM, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate in home assessments to ensure safe discharge with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents per company policy and state/federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.
