Job summary

Silver Creek Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant to join a collaborative team serving the Gilroy area. The role involves assisting licensed physical therapists with patient care, planning treatments, and applying therapeutic exercises and modalities.

You will document patient progress in the charting system, educate patients and families, and contribute to a positive, professional atmosphere.

Qualifications

• PTA degree from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PTA.
• Outpatient experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow up with patients: conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities as instructed by the physical therapist.
• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing patient treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, modalities, and patient education.
• Document patient progress in the charting system and report changes to the physical therapist.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, pain management techniques, and care plans.
• Maintain a professional, collaborative atmosphere with the healthcare team.

Silver Creek Physical Therapy, a member of Therapy Partners Group, has been the premier provider for outpatient orthopedics serving San Jose and surrounding communities for over 20 years.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Follow Up: Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities as instructed by the physical therapist.
• Treatment Planning:Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing patient treatment plans.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Implement various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, modalities, and patient education.
• Documentation: While using Raintree, Monitor and document patient progress during treatment sessions, reporting changes to the physical therapist.
• Patient Education:Educate patients and families on exercises, pain management techniques, and care plans
• Professional Atmosphere: Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and safety.

Pay: $40-44/hour depending on experience

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree as Physical Therapy Assistant from accredited institution.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Previous outpatient experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
