Job summary

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient orthopedics team. The role involves providing patient care split between Canton and Westland clinics, under the supervision of a licensed PT.

Schedule is Monday–Friday with a compensation range of $25–$40 per hour based on experience, and incentives including a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 and debt relief options. Prior outpatient experience is preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed PTA or license-in-process.
• Outpatient experience preferred.
• Valid CPR certification required.
• Pass CAPTE national examination for PTA.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction of a licensed physical therapist.
• Deliver high-quality physical therapy services with minimal supervision.
• Maintain positive interactions with centers and patients and promote relationships.
• Support outpatient orthopedic center operations and compliance with policies.

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
• CPR certification
