Job summary

Jobtailor in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate patients and develop individualized care plans within a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will apply modalities, implement exercises and education, coordinate treatment programs, and supervise assistants while documenting progress and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in PT from an accredited program.
• Applicable state license for PT.
• CPR Certification and BLS per policy guidelines.
• Ability to perform physical duties including frequent lifting up to 20 pounds and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to laterally transfer patients weighing 100 pounds rarely.
• Ability to demonstrate appropriate exercises and activities to patients/caregivers.
• Adequate corrected hearing and vision, intelligible speech, and language/cognitive skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment when needed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish individualized patient care plans

• Document evaluations, tests, progress, treatments, attendance, education, outcomes, discharges, and charges
• Re-evaluate patients and modify goals and treatments as patient status changes
• Communicate evaluations and progress to physicians, referral sources, and clinical staff
• Coordinate schedules, treatment programs, and discharge planning
• Provide and document patient and family education, including individualized home programs and equipment use
• Direct and supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, Physical Therapy Technicians, students, and volunteers
• Assist with orienting new and rotating staff
