Job summary

Amedisys Home Health is hiring a Physical Therapist to help patients heal at home with flexibility, purpose and growth. This full-time, dayshift role offers a $10K sign-on bonus and attractive pay, with patients receiving care in the comfort of their own homes.

The therapist will maintain, restore and improve movement and function, perform reexaminations every 30 days, adjust plans as needed and contribute to discharge planning. Comprehensive benefits accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the state assigned.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• One year of related physical therapy experience for home health care, or approval for less than one year with mentoring/residency.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations every 30 days (at minimum), modify interventions as needed, and perform discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
