Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Physical Therapist to help patients recover at home, delivering interventions, reexaminations every 30 days, and discharge planning. You will work to restore movement and function while supporting families in their home setting.

Qualified candidates hold a PT license, CAPTE-accredited degree, CPR, and have relevant home health experience. Attractive sign-on bonus of $20,000 and a strong, nationwide salary band.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate from an accredited PT program per CAPTE.
• One year of related PT experience for home health; if less than one year, regional leadership approval and mentoring may be required.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provides interventions, conducts reexaminations every 30 days (at minimum), modifies interventions as necessary, and performs discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.


• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).


• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.


• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.


• Current CPR certification.
