Job summary

Franciscan Health Lafayette Central Campus is seeking a Physical Therapist I to evaluate and treat patients, directing therapy staff and implementing individualized plans of care. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, documentation, and involvement in quality improvement within hospital policies.

We welcome both new graduates and experienced therapists and offer mentorship, continuing education opportunities, and a full-time daytime schedule across Franciscan Health therapy locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required from an accredited program.
• Valid license or temporary permit for the applicable state.
• Open to experienced and new graduates.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong team environment participation.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation and treatment within legal and professional guidelines.

The Physical Therapist I is responsible for providing evaluation and treatment of the patient within the parameters of legal and professional guidelines, and hospital and departmental policies and procedures. The Physical Therapist instructs and directs Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Technicians as assigned. This position evaluates and implements the plan of care to improve, restore and enhance physical functional performance, and promote injury prevention. The Physical Therapist performs documentation and quality improvement, as outlined in departmental policies and procedures.
