Job summary

Franciscan Health Michigan City Campus in Michigan City, Indiana, is seeking an Occupational Therapist I to provide evaluation and treatment within hospital guidelines and departmental policies. The role includes supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants and aides, and developing plans of care to improve daily living activities and functional mobility.

The position supports documentation and quality improvement and welcomes both new grads and experienced therapists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited program is required.
• Must have a valid license or temporary permit for the applicable state.
• Experienced and new graduate Occupational Therapist eligible.
• Adapt and respond quickly to changing priorities.
• Ability and willingness to work in a team environment.

The Occupational Therapist I provides evaluation and treatment of the patient within the parameters of legal and professional guidelines and hospital and departmental policies and procedures. The position instructs and directs Occupational Therapist Assistant and aides as assigned. The Occupational Therapist evaluates and implements the plan of care to improve, restore, and enhance performance in activities of daily living and functional mobility. This position performs documentation and quality improvement as outlined in departmental policies and procedures.
