Job summary

Franciscan Health Lafayette East Campus in Lafayette, Indiana seeks an Occupational Therapist I to assess and treat patients within hospital policies. You will evaluate and implement plans of care to improve daily living and mobility, and supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants as assigned.

This full-time role offers a 1:1 patient focus, mentorship, continuing education, and the opportunity to work at multiple Franciscan Health therapy locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Valid state license or temporary permit for the applicable state.
• Experienced and new graduates eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation and treatment within guidelines and policies.
• Instruct and direct Occupational Therapist Assistants and aides as assigned.
• Document patient progress and contribute to quality improvement.
• Develop and implement plan of care to improve, restore, and enhance daily living and functional mobility.

The Occupational Therapist I provides evaluation and treatment of the patient within the parameters of legal and professional guidelines and hospital and departmental policies and procedures. The position instructs and directs Occupational Therapist Assistant and aides as assigned. The Occupational Therapist evaluates and implements the plan of care to improve, restore, and enhance performance in activities of daily living and functional mobility. This position performs documentation and quality improvement as outlined in departmental policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited program is required
• Must have a valid license or temporary permit for the applicable state
• Experienced and new graduate Occupational Therapist eligible
• Adapt and respond quickly to changing priorities
• Ability and willingness to work in team environment
