Job summary

Stratford Manor Rehabilitation & Care Center in West Orange, NJ is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join the in-house Therapy Team. The PT will assess and document residents’ function, gait, strength, ROM, balance and mobility, and provide individualized treatment plans and progress reports.

Responsibilities include therapeutic exercises, soft-tissue techniques, equipment instruction, and patient education to improve function while maintaining confidentiality and adherence to regulatory

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PT program.
• Current NJ State PT license required.
• Long-term-care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Therapy Team.

• Observe residents and write evaluations, progress reports, discharges and all necessary documentation.
• Assist residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Treat residents with techniques such as soft-tissue mobilization and exercise progression.
• Help residents use necessary equipment and devices.
• Educate residents on proper exercise to strengthen muscles and improve function.
• Maintain residents’ confidence by keeping information confidential.
• Comply with federal, state and local legal and professional requirements.
• Contribute to the team’s overall goals.

PT Duties Include

• PT will work as part of the Therapy Team

PT Requirements Include

• A graduate of an accredited PT Program
• Current NJ State PT License
• Experience in long-term-care settings preferred
• Required License/Certifications: NJ PT License
