Job summary

Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 74-bed skilled nursing facility in Watchung, NJ. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to restore mobility and independence. Work 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday with weekends as needed.

Salary is $43-$46 per hour. You will document progress, stay current with best practices, and support patients and families in their rehabilitation

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist with current state license
• CPR certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address patients' needs and goals
• Utilize techniques and modalities to improve strength, balance, flexibility, and function

You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations

• Utilize a variety of techniques and modalities to help patients improve their strength, balance, flexibility, and overall physical function
• Educate patients and their families on proper exercises and techniques to continue their progress outside of therapy sessions

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Stay current with advancements and best practices in physical therapy through continuing education and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong time-management and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
