You will supervise rehabilitation technicians and PT assistants, ensuring compliance with state practice acts and Mercy standards. The role emphasizes compassionate care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a rural Arkansas setting.

Qualifications

• Current State license of Physical Therapy.
• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• BLS certification. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
• Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist.
• Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians, and general supervision of PT assistants.
• Adhere to department policies, standards of treatment, and Mercy Service Standards.

Job Description

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

Education: Current State license of Physical Therapy. Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
