Job summary

Mercy in Oklahoma offers a rewarding Physical Therapist role focused on assessment and individualized care for adults and seniors. You will supervise patients and rehab staff while delivering evidence-based therapies to improve mobility and function.

The position requires an active PT license, applicable degree, and BLS certification, with preference for 6–12 months of rehab experience, especially with adult and geriatric populations.

Qualifications

• Current State license of Physical Therapy.
• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• BLS certified.
• Six months to one year experience preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs objective assessments and develops comprehensive treatment programs for adults and geriatric patients.
• Provides direct supervision to patients and supervising rehabilitation staff as assigned.
• Supervises PT assistants in accordance with state practice acts.

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

Education: Current State license of Physical Therapy. Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
Experience:
Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
