Job summary

Mercy - 410 W Main Street is seeking a Physical Therapist for day, full-time shifts. Under Therapy Leadership, you will perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Education requirement includes a Bachelor, MS in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• BLS certification required; current before caring for patients independently.
• Six months to one year of rehabilitation PT experience preferred for adult/geriatric care.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct patient supervision and oversee rehabilitation technicians; supervise PT assistants as per state acts.
• Work under supervision of Therapy Leadership and align with Mercy standards and policies.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
• Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
