Spectrum Healthcare Resources, Inc. seeks a civilian Physical Therapist to join our team at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. This full-time, 40-hour per week role runs Monday through Friday with no weekends, includes paid federal holidays and PTO, and offers a structured setting with on-site support staff.

Requirements include an APTA-approved PT degree, CAPTE-approved program, and any state PT license; BLS certification is required, with clinical competency experience.

Qualifications

• Experience to meet clinical competency requirements specified by the Base
• Valid BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of physical therapist services within clinical privileges including differential diagnosis.
• Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on patient evaluations.
• Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function.
• Instruct and assist patients in activities, use of devices, and mobility training.
• Apply manual therapy and mobilization techniques; dry needling certification preferred.
• Administer traction to relieve pain and document progress in chart systems.
• Coordinate treatment with physicians and staff to optimize care.
• Communicate with referring physicians as required.
• Conduct prevention and wellness activities and patient education.

The Physical Therapist will have the following requirements:

• Masters or Baccalaureate degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapist Association (APTA) approved program.
• Any state Physical Therapist License
• Graduate from college or University approved by the CAPTE
• Experience required to meet clinical competency requirements specified by the Base
• Valid BLS certification

Core Duties:

• Perform a full range of physical therapist services in accordance with the scope of clinicalprivileges granted by the MTF including differential diagnosis.
• Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on an evaluation of the patient.
• Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function.
• Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in performing various physical activities, such asnon-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily-living activities, and in useof assistive and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
• Administer manual therapy to include: joint mobilization/manipulation and soft tissuemobilization, applying knowledge of mobilization techniques and body physiology.
• Certification in dry needling preferred.
• Administer traction to relieve pain, using traction equipment.
• Record treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart and/or automated systems.
• Coordinate treatment with physician and other staff members to obtain additional patientinformation, suggest revisions in treatment program and integrate physical therapytreatment with other aspects of the patient's health care.
• Contact referring physiciansregarding patient care concerns, as required.
• Perform prevention and wellness activities, education, screening, and promote positivehealth behaviors.
