Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist in Oklahoma City for a full-time day position. Join one of the largest home health and hospice providers in the U.S. where flexibility, purpose and growth help patients heal at home.

Responsibilities include interventions to improve movement and function, regular reexaminations every 30 days, discharge planning, and other duties as assigned. Compensation reflects labor costs across markets and benefits vary by position.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• One year related physical therapy experience for home health care.
• If less than one year, obtain regional approval and mentorship or residency participation.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations (every 30 days at minimum), adjust as needed and perform discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
