Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. seeks a Physical Therapist to deliver home-based Early Intervention for infants and toddlers in California.

You will work with families to implement IFSP goals in homes, daycare centers, and community settings, with virtual options available. The role offers a flexible schedule and locations, a sign-on bonus up to $1,000, mileage reimbursement, a monthly tech stipend, and potential benefits for part-time staff, plus a supportive team environment and opportunities

Qualifications

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license is required.
• Pediatric experience in Early Intervention preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills; bilingual Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide PT services using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow IFSP and help families develop strategies to meet developmental goals.
• Use family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and generalize progress.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment and via virtual sessions.
• Perform re-assessments and write progress reports, typically bi-annual.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and regulations.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings; virtual services also currently available
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
