Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Physical Therapist in Milwaukee, WI, in the Rehabilitation department, for a PRN role at Columbia Saint Mary’s Hospital. You will assess patients, design recovery plans, and deliver direct therapy with a patient-centered approach.

You’ll educate families, collaborate with the care team, and mentor PTAs and students, contributing to a supportive, high-quality rehabilitation program.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• Physical Therapy credential from the Wisconsin Physical Therapy Examining Board prior to hire.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's or Doctorate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design Custom Recovery Paths by assessing patient data and creating dynamic care plans.
• Deliver hands-on therapy interventions tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Educate and involve families in the recovery process for better outcomes.
• Mentor PTAs, students, and staff to foster excellence and shared learning.

How you'll make an impact in this role

• Design Custom Recovery Paths: You'll perform initial and ongoing assessments, transforming clinical data into a dynamic, evolving plan of care that meets the patient where they are.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Physical Therapy (PT) credentialed from the Wisconsin Physical Therapy Examining Board prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.
