Job summary

Ascension Seton Medical Center Hays in Kyle, Texas is seeking a Physical Therapist (PRN) to evaluate and treat patients under medically prescribed plans. You will perform initial and ongoing assessments, develop and adjust a patient-family involved plan of care, and supervise PT assistants and students in a busy acute setting.

Minimum requirements include a BLS certification within 30 days and Texas PT licensure within 180 days; a Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master’s or Doctorate

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 1 month of hire date.
• PT credentialing by the Texas Exec. Council of PT & OT within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
• Perform initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition.
• Establish, revise and evaluate a plan of care involving the patient/family.
• Oversee activities of PT assistants, students and other support personnel.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.

• Perform initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition.

• Establish, revise and evaluate a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family.

• Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.

• Oversee activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Physical Therapy (PT) credentialed from the Texas Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.
