Job summary

ProgressiveHealth is seeking a Physical Therapist in Jasper, IN to provide acute care in a hospital setting and float to Outpatient Ortho to follow patient progress from Acute Care to outpatient rehab.

This weekend-support, full-time role offers 8- or 10-hour days, premium pay, and a $2,500 sign-on/retention bonus along with a robust benefits package including PTO, holidays, medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Indiana.
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or higher.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Review patient information, evaluate impact, and adapt treatment plans.
• Instruct patients and family/caregivers in exercises to continue after discharge.
• Delegate tasks and supervise PTAs and rehabilitation technicians.
• Document accurately according to company policies and state/federal regulations.

Are you an energetic and results driven Physical Therapist wanting to provide therapeutic care to patients in a hospital setting? If you have a desire to specialize in Acute Care and work alongside an amazing medical team, this job is for you! In addition, you will have an opportunity to float in the Outpatient Ortho department, allowing you the chance to see the progress of your patients from Acute Care to Outpatient Rehab!

This position is for our Weekend Support role! You have the opportunity to work full-time with either 8-hour or 10-hour days with the chance to go full-time with a 30-hour week. Premium pay and bonuses are included to incentivize this unique position!

What will you be doing in this role?

• Developing and implementing an individualized treatment plan based on patient needs containing achievable functional goals by using therapeutic exercise and modalities, as necessary
  • Reviewing available patient information, evaluating the impact of the assessment, and communicating of the treatment process
  • Revising treatment plans, as needed, throughout the treatment process for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint, and/or bone diseases
  • Establishing and instructing patient and/or family/caregiver in exercises and therapeutic procedures to be continued following discharge
• Delegating tasks and supervising physical therapist assistants (PTA) and rehabilitation technicians
• Completing appropriate documentation according to Company/department policies and procedures along with adhering to federal and state regulations

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist specific to the State of Indiana
• A Bachelor's or higher in Physical Therapy
• Current CPR certification

Eligibility to Work:
