Job summary

Therapy 2000, a mission-driven home-based pediatric therapy provider in Texas, seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to help children reach their fullest potential in the comfort of their homes.

You’ll perform evaluations, design treatment plans, and collaborate with families and medical teams to deliver high-quality care while meeting agency standards and ensuring patient progress. This full-time role includes mileage reimbursement, a company laptop, and opportunities for continuing education.

Qualifications

• Current/active Texas Physical Therapy license.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Physical Therapy evaluations using standardized tests.
• Develop and implement treatment plans per physician orders.
• Develop home exercise programs with patients' caregivers.
• Collaborate with providers to coordinate care.
• Meet minimum weekly patient visits as required.
• Meet deadlines for chart updates and paperwork.
• Maintain understanding of agency expectations and standards.
• Comply with policies, codes of ethics, and laws for home-health pediatric PT.

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

• A current/active license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Texas.
• An innovative spirit complemented by a demonstrated history of reliability.
• Flexibility to shift resources and priorities as necessary, based on the needs of the business.
• Ability to use common workplace technology (laptop computer, phone, email, web browser).

Bonus points for:

• 3+ years as a pediatric Physical Therapist
• Experience in a home-health setting
• Specialty Certifications (example: PCS)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

• Perform comprehensive Physical Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.
• Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physician orders.
• Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
• Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
• Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
• Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
• Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric physical therapy.
