Physical, Personnel, Special, SAP & Industrial Security Specialist

Cherokee Preting is seeking Security Specialists with experience conducting physical, personnel, SAP, and Industrial security functions to support USSOCOM.

Pay is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

• Assist, monitor, and advise on all aspects of security activities.
• Plan and assist in implementing security measures at the Top Secret and higher classification levels to ensure USSOCOM personnel (Military, Civilians, Contractors) and supported tenant organizations are prepared for operations in non-traditional environments.
• Develop technical approaches and methodologies related to security proposals.
• Process personnel background investigations for security clearance actions, including:
• Formulating and ensuring compliance with automated information systems security procedures.
• Implementing and monitoring compliance with security policies and procedures.
• Conducting and coordinating training for security representatives.
• Serving as a liaison with government and industrial security officials, overseeing access and badge procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience in Physical, Personnel, and Special Security within DoD or equivalent agencies; operational experience preferred.
• Experience with compartmented programs in DoD, U.S. Intelligence Community, or supporting U.S. Contractors.
• Experience in planning and accrediting facilities per ICD 705 standards.
• Knowledge of security policies, including the National Industrial Security Program Supplement and DoD 5105.21 Volumes 1-3.
• Experience in security training or inspections is highly desirable.
• Thorough understanding of security processes.
• Must possess a valid US passport.
• Ability to complete all medical examinations required by the client, including deployment-related health checks.
• Must pass all pre-deployment requirements to be deployable.
• Must meet pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
