Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following location(s): North Carolina

Please note the preferred location is in Eastern North Carolina

This position is in our Enterprise Security Operations group within the Corporate Real Estate group. This role manages and administers all aspects of physical security for small to medium-sized company facilities.

Responsible for technical security operations and threat management to protect Bank associates, clients, and assets. Identifies emerging threats and trends through analysis and recommends appropriate countermeasures. Develops innovative solutions for security risks considering long-term impact, system integration, maintenance, and cost-effectiveness. Participates in investigations of physical security incidents and provides testimony on matters of crime. Serves as a technical security consultant to stakeholders within the area through knowledge of banking and security regulations, criminal codes, and key industry trends.

Responsibilities

1. Security Assessment - Assess risks or threats through analysis of new and existing facilities. Ensure risks or threats are identified, mitigated within the Bank's tolerance levels, and that appropriate security technology is in place. Evaluate risks associated with vendor relationships, services, and products. Convey reports to management on assessment results.
2. Incident Resolution - Manage incidents of crimes and other circumstances that occur on Bank premises or impact Bank operations, associates, or clients. Work closely with law enforcement officers to support legal response and investigation. Provide advice, maintain incident records, and collect possible evidence. Facilitate the restoration of security and normal operations.
3. Business Support - Serve as a technical consultant on physical security risks, impact, and liability for executive management and key business stakeholders. Collaborate on the development and implementation of protective measures, procedures, and risk solutions. Create system designs and manage security systems within assigned facilities. Provide ongoing monitoring and technical support for installed security systems.
4. Security Expertise - Maintain current awareness of security-related regulations, criminal codes, and industry or forecasted changes. Build relationships with business partners, public officials, and industry peers to facilitate information sharing. Develop awareness of industry problems and solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Industrial Security or Law Enforcement
OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Industrial Security or Law Enforcement

Preferred

• Experience with Milestone, Verint video systems, RS2 Access Control, Service Channel, ServiceNow, FCRM, MCIM
• American Society for Industrial Security (APP, CPP, PSP, PCI) certifications
• De-escalation tactics, conflict resolution certification or training
• Membership in the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals
• Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design certification

Skills

Knowledge of physical and electronic security technology, crime prevention through environmental design concepts, security lighting regulations, legal implications of security system implementation, premises liability, and negligence.
