ABOUT THE ROLE
Arbor Associates is seeking a licensed Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher for a long-term contract placement at a public school in East Longmeadow, MA. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students with diverse needs by delivering individualized, inclusive physical education programming in a supportive school environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and deliver individualized adaptive physical education instruction aligned with each student's IEP goals and physical abilities.
- Assess student motor skills, physical fitness, and functional movement to inform programming and track progress.
- Collaborate with special education teachers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other related service providers.
- Modify activities, equipment, and environments to ensure safe, meaningful participation for all students.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and participate in IEP meetings as required.
