Ascension is seeking a Family Medicine physician to join an established team at a 387-bed Level II trauma facility in Illinois. The role covers outpatient care for kids and adults with strong office support and onsite imaging and labs.

You will join two physicians and experienced staff in a stable, mission-driven Catholic health system. Qualified candidates hold an MD/DO and IL licensure eligibility, with Advanced Life Support preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Contributes to cost effectiveness and quality of care improvements for patients.
• Participates in medical education and research programs as requested.
• Documents care to meet insurer requirements and appeals denials when needed.
• Participates in inpatient and outpatient specialty consultations and on-call schedules.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
• Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.
• Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements. Appeals all denials in a timely manner.
• Opportunity to participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Preferred Credential(s)

• Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
