Job summary

Ascension seeks a physician to join an outpatient team in Sand Springs, OK, in a busy practice supported by a robust health system network. This employed role offers stability within a nonprofit health system and access to strong referral resources.

You will lead patient care in your assigned area, performing dermatologic and primary care procedures as part of a collaborative, physician-led team with minimal call and a focus on high-quality, cost-effective care.

Qualifications

• MD/DO required.
• Oklahoma licensure/certification required.

Responsibilities

• Join an established team of 2 physicians and 3 APPs.
• Perform skin biopsies, joint injections, abscess drainage, sutures, Pap smears, IUD insertions, toenail removals and more.
• Lead patient care within your assigned area using advanced diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Collaborate with on-site Urgent Care, lab, X-ray, Behavioral Health, Clinical RN and Coumadin Therapy to support patient care.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Join an established team of 2 physicians and 3 APPs
• Call structure: Minimal. Providers average 3â4 weekends per year and rotate holidays.
• Practice setting: Outpatient
• Key procedures performed in clinic include skin biopsies, joint injections, abscess drainage, sutures, Pap smears, IUD insertions, toenail removals, and more.
• Access to on-site Urgent Care, lab and X-ray, Behavioral Health (LPC), Clinical RN, and Coumadin Therapy
• Employed position within a nonprofit health system
• Lead patient care within your assigned area by applying advanced diagnostic and treatment skills to improve individual health outcomes.
• Advocate for clinical excellence by identifying and implementing strategies that enhance the quality and cost-effectiveness of care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
