Job summary

Avo Photonics, a dynamic contract engineering services company, seeks a dedicated professional to drive profitable sales of its opto-electronic solutions in diverse markets. You will lead initial technical discussions with customers, capture requirements, and craft cost models, schedules, and quotes that reflect project scope.

You'll direct the Business Development Team, ensure customer needs are heard, deliver compelling proposals, and push for improved outcomes on every deliverable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, physics, chemistry or a technical field.
• 15 years of experience in the photonics industry.
• Strong business sense and negotiation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to manage technical personnel and projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in profitable sales of Avo's services.
• Lead initial technical discussions with customers and capture requirements.
• Create cost models, schedules, and quotes.
• Review quotes and terms; ensure customer requirements are heard.
• Direct the BD team and drive improved deliverables.
• Provide quotes to customers and close/win business.
• Monitor profitability of won jobs and adapt the sales process.
• Coordinate with Marketing to guide opportunities to sales.
